Website Service Contracts
What is a website without a service contract? Stagnant. The premise of having a service contract is to have web guys at your disposal for a set period of time on a monthly/yearly basis. There are a number of reasons to consider having webmasters even if you have a static website. No need to worry though, Doogle is here to guide you as to why.
Site Updates:
In the fast moving environment of cyberspace there are often security releases for software that should not be missed. Regular site updates will keep your website secure from vulnerabilities. In addition to security releases, the content management software that is installed on all of our websites goes through regular releases which improve the way in which a site works. Some releases tweak the software to speed up page loads, some releases add additional libraries to allow for cool new effects on your site.
It would be shame to be stuck with a site that is two or three years behind the time. In the last year we have seen many improvements to the web browsers and that means sites now are faster, cooler and safer than before--don't be on the outside looking in when it comes to having a service contract.
Content:
We install a content management system on all of our sites and include a tutorial to show our clients how to utilize the software on their own time. However, we have found that our clients would often rather pay for the convenience of having web guys manage their sites to keep them current. Let's face it, here at Doogle--we do this everyday. We can do things quicker and get it right the first time--that's why it is a service. Also, it would be really cool to tell your friends that your web managers are taking care of your site--right?
Major Changes:
Service contracts cover a period of time. Each contract is structured differently, but one thing is true about each of our contracts--it is cheaper per hour to go for contract rather than being billed hourly. For us, it helps us fiscally know where we stand on a monthly basis--and because of that--we offer a discount on the bottom line. So, lets say you want to have your site changed--in a big way. Whether it is form or function, a service contract has you covered. Maybe one year you want to make bigger changes and you may want a more substantial contract in order to save more money. The following year you may not need a contract or perhaps just our basic plan.
Bottom line, service contracts allow us to deliver a value to our clients and keep them on the cutting edge. Talk about a win-win!
